Project Abstract
The Zambian fashion retail landscape is often split between expensive high-end boutiques and informal thrift markets. Consumers frequently lack a centralized, secure platform that offers a curated selection of both new and pre-loved (thrift) apparel.
The primary goal is to develop a fully functional e-commerce website that simplifies the shopping experience for local users. Key objectives include implementing a dynamic product engine for five categories, an automated delivery fee calculator for different provinces, and a transparent user-review system to build trust.
The site is developed using a front-end stack consisting of HTML for structure, CSS and Bootstrap for responsive layout and styling, and JavaScript for core functionality. JavaScript is utilized to manage the shopping cart state, calculate delivery costs, and handle user interactions without the need for complex back-end frameworks at this stage.
The final product is a mobile-responsive business website that provides a secure "one-stop-shop" environment. It features a streamlined checkout process, localized logistics, and interactive elements that foster a community-driven shopping experience
